Columbian TecTank™ food storage silos are used extensively in the milling, baking and food processing industries. Our FDA and USDA compliant coatings for carbon steel are often specified by major food producers, as is our stainless steel and welded aluminum silos. Columbian TecTank™ welded silos, skirted to grade, are suitable for most dry bulk food materials. Columbian TecTank™ bolted silos, which can be positioned on structures, built on legs or skirted, are also suitable to many dry food materials. Under circumstances where food transportation becomes problematic or breaks down, food storage becomes a vital link in the distribution chain set-up to provide food security. They were originally intended for food storage in small quantities of up to 50 tonnes of cereal grains, but recently they have also been manufactured in sizes capable of storing 150 tonnes of milled rice.
