  • The screw conveyor is much more advantageous over different bulk
material handling systems. It is possible for a screw conveyor to handle materials to several locations at once with minimized downtime during maintenance or repositioning during process changes. Bulk materials can be conveyed and distributed to different places as
needed. A screw conveyor is also very compact and can be adapted to any
congested spot that is totally enclosed to contain the product and
prevent any product spilling. A screw conveyor can also be used to
cool, heat or dry products on the conveyor. Lastly, a screw conveyor
can be designed to be vapor-tight or hold an internal pressure and
provide an air lock between upstream and downstream equipment.

The Airex Industries screw conveyor line is an efficient way of transporting bulk material horizontally or with small angle. A rotating screw pushes the material along within an enclosed trough from point a to point b. They come in three standard size, 6'', 9'', & 12''. Typical construction is 12 gauge mild steel and motor horse powers range from 1
to 3 HP (multiple voltages available). The lengths of the screw
conveyor vary with model and diameter, but typically range between 5'
and 24' standard. Custom sizes are available.
